Campbell Park in Silicon Valley

By Rachel Puryear

If you are looking for an easy, mostly flat, paved hiking trail that’s open late and is dog-friendly, and you don’t mind a rather busy place; then check out Campbell Park next time you’re in Campbell, CA (South Bay Area, aka the Silicon Valley).

This park has a paved trail that overlooks a waterway. This little river is flowing fast now with mini waterfalls, thanks to recent rains! The trees along the trail are extra colorful this time of year.

You can also enjoy the park’s basketball court and horseshoe pits, and enjoy a meal at the picnic tables. Bathrooms are available, and the park is dog-friendly (including a drinking bowl for your dogs at the water fountains). The park is open from 6 am until 10 pm daily, giving you plenty of time to enjoy it.

The park is busy and the parking lot is not very big, so come earlier in the morning or later in the evening, or during the week if you prefer to avoid crowds. The parking lot has accessible spaces. If you don’t need an accessible space and the parking lot looks full, however, there is also street parking in the nearby neighborhoods.

Enjoy a few photos from this lovely park, and go and check it out if you have the chance:

A lake shaded by trees.
A flowing waterfall through a chain link fence at Campbell Park.
A view of the opposite paved path, through lots of trees, and a red tree at Campbell Park.

Thank you, dear readers, for reading, following, and sharing. Here’s to gorgeous, accessible, dog-friendly parks that are open early and late.
